Update Notice!

  • Updated from our previous custom format to the National Dex OU format by Smogon
  • Two gimmicks can be used (e.g. Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Terastalization), however if a player is using Dynamax/Gigantamax they may only use that gimmick.
  • Adjusted some minor rules.
  • Adjusted some of the banned Pokémon, Z-Moves, Legendaries, Mythicals and Ubermons.

Changelog

General

  • Challengers must acquire 8 badges before challenging Elite Trainers.
  • There are no banned moves… 🙂
  • …but there are banned Z-Moves 🙁

Champions

  • Champions may not have any custom rules in their battles.
  • If a challenger loses against the Champion, they must re-challenge 2 randomly selected Elite Trainers.
  • If a Champion doesn't accept any challengers for more than 5 days they will be stripped of their title. The next Challenger to then beat the required Elite Trainers will be the next Champion.

Rules for Challengers

  • When challenging a Gym, players are limited to no more than one Restricted Pokémon on their team.

  • Challengers may only use up to 2 gimmicks (mega evolution, z-moves or Terastalization ) or only use 1 if the gimmick is dmax/gmax.

  • When challenging Elite Trainers or the Champion players are limited to no more than one Restricted Pokémon/slot on their team

  • Challengers must have collected 8 gym badges before challenging elite trainers.

  • Challengers must have collected 4 elite badges before challenging the champion.

  • External consumable items (ex. Potion, Revive, X Attack, etc.) may not be used.

Rules for Gyms & Gym Leaders

  • All gyms must be themed, though theming is not limited to mono-type teams.

  • Set to Level 50 (to keep battles fair for both sides).

  • May be any battle type (single, double, triple, team).

  • Gyms do not have to be beaten in any particular order.

  • Held items are allowed but external items (ex. Potion, Revive, X Attack, etc.) may not be used.

  • Gym Leaders are restricted to having up to one Restricted Pokémon.

  • Gym Leaders may set whatever additional rules they wish after having been approved by the council, (within reason) (ex. the challenger must have at least one flying type on their team).

  • Gym Leaders may collect Gym Badges and Elite Badges while still being a Gym Leader.

  • Gym Leaders may also simultaneously be Elite Trainers so long as they use different teams.

  • Gym Leaders may also simultaneously be the Champion so long as they use different teams.

  • Players may have up to two gyms so long as they use different teams and themes for each gym.

  • All gyms that opt in to the Cobblemon League must display the designated given item of verification from the League Council on the front of or in their gym so as to clearly let players know if said gym is a verified gym part of the Cobblemon League and that its badge counts toward Elite Trainer entry.

Rules for Elite Trainers

  • Elite Trainers are the effective replacement of the games Elite 4 as we will be having more than 4 players admitted to this role.

  • All Elite Trainer teams must be themed, though theming is not limited to single-type teams.

  • Level 50 only (to keep battles fair for both sides).

  • May be any battle type (single, double, triple, team).

  • Elite Trainers do not have to be beaten in any particular order.

  • Elite Trainer team sizes must have a minimum of 5 Pokémon and have no cap.

  • Held items are allowed, and duplicate items are limited to no more than two per team, but external items (ex. Potion, Revive, X Attack, etc.) may not be used.

  • Elite Trainers are restricted to having up to one Restricted Pokémon.

  • Gym leaders may only use up to 2 gimmicks (mega evolution, z-moves or Terastalization ) or only use 1 if the gimmick is dmax/gmax.

  • Elite Trainers may also simultaneously be Gym Leaders so long as they use different teams.

  • To gain entry to the Elite Trainers a player must collect at least 10 Gym Badges (this number will likely increase as more gyms are built as the server goes on [should this requirement increase, Elite Trainer and the Champion will not be required to meet this new requirement to retain their position]).

  • Elite Trainers must have been a Gym Leader prior to becoming an Elite Trainer.

  • Elite Trainers are chosen by the Shyamin Council from among the active Gym Leaders. Gym leaders' knowledge are factored into this process.

  • Should an existing Elite Trainer start to underperform as a member of the Elite Trainers then they can be replaced at the League Council’s discretion (this does not prevent them from potentially re-earning their position as an Elite Trainer).

  • Should an Elite Trainer not accept any valid challenges for longer than a period of 5 days without notice their title can be removed and given to another valid player at the League Council’s discretion (this does not prevent them from potentially re-earning their position as an Elite Trainer).

  • Elite Trainers will give out badges and will be referred to as Elite Badges.

  • After a challenger has lost to an elite trainer a cooldown of 15 minutes must pass before they are able to rechallenge the elite member. They may challenge other elite members during this time.

Rules for Champions

  • Can only be a singles battle.

  • The Champion is restricted to having up to one Restricted Pokémon.

  • The Champion may only use up to 2 gimmicks (mega evolution, z-moves or Terastalization) or only use 1 if the gimmick is dmax/gmax.

  • The Champion can not set any custom rules for their battles.

  • Held items are allowed, and duplicate items are limited to no more than two per team, but external items (ex. Potion, Revive, X Attack, etc.) may not be used.

  • The Champion may also simultaneously be Gym Leaders so long as they use different teams.

  • The Champion may not simultaneously be an Elite Trainer.

  • To gain entry to the Champion a player must collect all 4 Elite Badges (should an Elite Trainer whom they won a badge from be swapped out before said player gains entry to the Champion they will not have to earn the badge of the new Elite Trainer).

  • If a challenger loses their battle with the Champion, they must re-challenge 2 elite trainers before re-challenging the champion. These two Elite Trainers will be selected at random by a council member.

  • Should a player lose their Champion title, they must first earn 2 more Elite Badges (on top of the badges they earned before) to re-earn their Champion title.

  • Should the Champion not accept any valid challenges for longer than a period of 5 days without notice their title can be removed and the position of Champion will become vacant. The next challenger to beat the Elite Trainers becomes the champion.

  • The team used to challenge the Champion will become the new Champion’s team. There are no theme restrictions. A maximum of one limited slot. Pokémon's moves may be changed at any time.
